Tayler Wiles to Guest Ride for DNA Cycling
August 22, 2015 – The USA Pro Challenge Women’s Stage Race starts tomorrow, August 21, 2015. The 3 day, 3 stage race is being held in conjunction with the USA Pro Challenge Men’s Stage Race, which started on Monday, August 17, 2015. The race marks the return of women’s stage racing to Colorado. The last women’s stage race was the Coors Classic in the 1980’s.
Several Utah riders will be participating. Jannalyn Luttrell will be racing for Fearless Femme p/b Haute Wheels Racing. Allie Dragoo, fresh off her win in stage 1 of the Tour of Utah Women’s Edition, will be racing for Twenty 16 p/b SHO-AIR. Look for her to contend for the win in the time trial. Utah native Tayler Wiles will be guest racing for the Utah-based elite women’s team DNA Cycling p/b K4 and is also a favorite in the time trial. Their squad will also boast local Utah powerhouses Anne Perry and Breanne Nalder, along with out of state racers Joanie Caron, Lauren de Crescenzo, and Gabrielle Pilote-Fortin. Idaho’s Kristin Armstrong leads the Twenty 16 team, and will bring her world class time trial skills to the race.
The race starts in Breckenridge with an individual time trial. Stage 2 is a 58 mile road race from Loveland, CO to Fort Collins featuring a 20 mile climb. The finale is the stage 3 circuit race in Golden, CO.
