Utah dealers named to Top 100 list

VeloBusiness, a bike industry trade journal, has named four Utah dealers to their Top 100 list. Bingham's Cyclery lead the Utah field in 10th place. Guthrie Bicycle was listed at 31st, Bike Board Blade at 78th, and Poison Spider at 89th.

Shops were chosen by a poll of manufacturer's representatives and shop owners. Criteria included store appearance, community outreach, business soundness, and market share.

Choosey thieves hit Guthrie Bicycle

Burglers smashed a store window at the downtown Guthrie store and made off with 2 bikes at 4 a.m. on April 21 according to Dave Saenz, Guthrie's manager.

They stole a Diamondback X-10, a freeride bike, valued at $2900 and a GT Lobo, a downhill specific model, valued at $5000.

Saenz said,"they were thieves that knew what they were looking for." If you have any information on this, please call the police or call Dave Saenz at 363-3727.

Buffalo Bikers

The Bonneville Bicycle Touring Club put on their annual Buffalo Bike Ride Saturday, April 17 at Antelope Island. Participants had an opportunity to ride a trail that past participants helped build. The fundraiser donates 50% of the proceeds directly to the rangers for trail work and maintenance. The new Split Rock Trail is proof this ride has the right stuff.
