The Recreational Trails Program (RTP), the federal funding program that supports natural surface trails, has been reauthorized for two years in a bill signed into law last Friday.

The professional men and women, including the four riders who are slated to represent the United States of America in the 2012 Olympics, took center stage as they competed in their cross-country races presented by Zions Bank after several category 1 age group men and women contested their cross-country race.

National titles were awarded in short track cross-country after category 2 and 3 riders contested the mountain bike cross-country race in non-national championship races under cloudy skies and cooler than usual temperatures.
Antelope Island State Park will be the venue for the 19th Annual Antelope by Moonlight Bike Ride to be held on July 6th at 10:00 PM. This popular non-competitive bike ride is open to participants of all ages and starts at the Antelope Island Marina. The half way point is the historic Fielding Garr Ranch where refreshments are served and prizes (including a new bike from The Biker’s Edge) are awarded.

Teton Valley Trails And Pathways (TVTAP) announces the 3rd Annual Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival. The event takes place July 27, 28 and 29th at multiple locations throughout the Teton Valley of Idaho and Grand Targhee Resort. Registration is filling up now at TetonBikeFest.org. All net proceeds benefit TVTAP, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
