By posting the fastest time of the day during the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah’s time trial, Van Garderen gave himself, and his team, a sweet birthday gift. Van Garderen’s time of 17:33 was six seconds better than that of Levi Leipheimer.
Join the Mayor at Reservoir Park where you will be able to see the racers twice on each of the 11 laps on the 7.4 mile course that starts and finishes at the Capitol and winds through the Avenues, University neighborhoods and downtown. Moment-by-moment live race coverage will also be available at a big screen viewing area at the park. Food, beverages, bicycle valet service and activities will make for a fun and family-friendly afternoon watching world-class athletic competition.

The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah got things rolling Tuesday afternoon at the Utah Olympic Park with a brutal 1.25 mile prologue that left legs fried, lungs burning and a relatively unknown youngster from Columbia wearing the yellow jersey.
